About the Author

A sixth-generation Spanish Californian, Marisa Bonilla fell in love with the sounds and rhythms of the Spanish language as taught to her by her maternal grandfather. Educated at the University of California at Los Angeles and the University of the Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, she taught Spanish and English as a Second Language for many years at both the early childhood and university level.
