About the Author

I am a classically trained (opera) singer with a BA in Music and Gender Studies, an MM in Vocal Performance, am currently working on an MA in Musicology, and I am a member of the House of Aviance. I've been living in fantasy worlds since I was a kid, first with Dungeons & Dragons and Lord of the Rings, now with Urban Fantasy fiction. After college I enjoyed writing Harry Potter fan fiction, then realized one day that I should be writing stories of my own and began a long journey of discovering a new world of shadows. My favorite authors include Shakespeare, J. K. Rowling, Agatha Christie, Jim Butcher, Mercedes Lackey, Patricia Briggs, Kelly Armstrong, Anne Rice, Kim Harrison, J. R. Tolkien, Tanya Huff, and R. A. Salvatore. My favorite music ranges from Handel, Bach, Rossini, Verdi, Puccini, Strauss and Mahler to EJ Aviance, Adam Joseph, Jonny McGovern, and Macklemore.
