About the Author

Linda Ball was born and raised in the great and wild state of Alaska, a second-generation, genuine Alaskan. In 1996, she moved to what Alaskans call the "lower 48." She has had an adventurous life — then the boom dropped when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011. Ms. Ball has worked as a journalist for both daily and weekly newspapers since 2001, winning several awards. This is her first book.
