About the Author

Chiara Cappellini was originally born in Turin, Italy in 1996. She wrote and illustrated her first children's book at the age of 12, which was published in Italian. At the age of thirteen she participated in a charity trip to Nanoro, Burkina Faso. Since then, Chiara has always enthusiastically fundraised for charity using the profits made from her books and illustrations. At the age of fifteen she completed her second children's book and the following year she moved to England for her sixth-form education at Sevenoaks School. Through her school she joined the 'Mula-Mula' project, which is an NGO that aims at providing education facilities to children in a rural area of South Africa. Therefore she decided to publish her last book in order to raise money for the 'Mula-Mula 'project.
