About the Author

After service as a young man in the Army Security Agency, George W. Cave enrolled at Princeton University where he majored in Middle Eastern studies. Joining the CIA after graduation, the author went on to serve tours of duty in the Near East and South Asia. He now spends much of his time writing about the many fascinating people and places that he encountered during his years as an operations officer.
