About the Author

Ming Shen is the founder of Smart Test, Inc. She was born, raised, and educated in China before getting her master’s degree. Since then, she has been teaching more than 20 years in American public schools and colleges. She authored and edited Summer Pathway to Success- Kindergarten, Summer Pathway to Success -1st grade, and Summer Pathway to Success -2nd grade with Mrs. Paula Marandola, another veteran teacher. Paula Marandola is the educational director of Smart Test, Inc., with degrees in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Special Education. She is a retired teacher, after having taught 37 years in an inner city community, and has had extensive teaching experience with both regular and special needs children. Mrs. Marandola, a formerly published author in the Journal of Learning Disabilities, has currently authored and edited Summer Pathway to Success-3rd grade and Summer Pathway to Success-4th grade with Ming Shen.
