Synopsis

Warning! Reality May Not Be Compatible with Your Worldview explains how the most significant event in human history was the awakening of intellectual consciousness, and the ability to make informed decisions based on careful observation, logic, and critical reasoning. Author P. A. Ransom explores the evolution of the brain, what reality is, and how we search for it in our complex world. He addresses the question of our assumptions about truth and faith, and how when faith is added to the equation, it can destroy the credibly of anything it wishes.

We all live in a world that is constructed in the mind. Our senses tell us that the world is real. We just accept as fact that what our senses reveal to us is not an illusion. Yet even our senses can be tricked: if you have experienced an illusion like a magic trick or special effects, you know how easily the brain can be deceived. What we think we know is sometimes far from the truth.

No matter how well considered our knowledge is, it is always subject to change as our understandings evolve. It would be prudent, then, to reexamine our beliefs. Warning! Reality May Not Be Compatible with Your Worldview exposes the truth about dogma and rituals that lead our minds into delusional beliefs. When we embrace ignorance, we turn our backs on truth and close our minds to new ideas and discoveries.
