Synopsis

Rose and Rita's Journey is about two little girl marmosets, the smallest of the monkey species. They have lovely, long tails and tufts of fur on their heads. A fire in the rain forest destroys their homes and sends them on a desperate journey to find their troops. Rose had left her nest for some lovely fruit. When their parents and siblings and friends flee the fire without them, Rose knows she must look after her younger cousin, Rita. Each chapter is another adventure. Through many mishaps and help from Mam and Dad, their human friends, they ultimately reach Prairie Park Zoo in the Midwest. Happiness greets them when they find the missing troops already there. Everything ends well--until the next book.

About the Author

After twenty-six years working in the Middle Island School District on Long Island, my husband and I decided to move to warmer digs. We settled in Coral Springs, Florida. I found a fun new career in writing. I, and several other writers formed the Coral Springs Writers Group. I joined Mystery Writers of America. I wrote mysteries and short stories.
