About the Author

Growing up, Kelly spent my weekends in a small house on Mulholland Highway. Kelly and her sister called it the "log cabin." Before sunrise, they would cross Mulholland Hwy, go through a creek and hike the remainder of the time with wet feet. They emulated "Little House on Prairie". Little did they know they were actually hiking near the filming of the TV show. They didn’t go very far on their adventures, but it seemed like hours. As soon as the sun came out, they would sit with their toes in the sun trying to warm them, thinking they would get frostbite like people do in the movies. Kelly still enjoys the trails and uses them more than ever, but now she tries to keep her feet dry. Every morning Kelly hikes, horseback rides, or mountain bikes the trails. She doesn’t like to do the same trail two days in a row, so she is always exploring new trails. She has found herself sharing trails with friends that have lived here for over 30 years. Kelly realized there was a void of information. Her goal is to share the trails she has explored giving descriptions of each allowing you to make the best choice as to which trail best suits your needs. She tracked her rides with a GPS and cyclometer, and a thousand miles later she finished the Local Multi-Use Trail Book.
