Rag Doll is written from vivid memories from childhood through age 20. Being raised the youngest of 9, it describes the extreme daily mood swings from our mother. Every day was different. It could be happy one minute or violent, neglectful, filthy swearing and years of constant verbal abuse. This book shares two sides. Happy cherished memories and the other side, violent actions from my mother. I guarantee Rag Doll will educate you what NOT to do or say to a child. This book is not meant to be a "Oh poor me." There were children far worse off than I, then and now. When all my brothers and sisters would gather around the kitchen table and swap individual stories of childhood it was quite an eye opener. One would always comment, I could write a book. I can't tell their stories, but I can share some of mine.

About the Author

There was no extensive, lengthy research for Rag Doll. I have no prior experience or skill in writing. What I do have is a "MASTERS' in childhood " MEMORIES." As an adult, life was too busy for me to dwell on the past. Being older and having no more shame or guilt, I finally had my children read it. They both encouraged me to share it with you. I have two grown children. They're thoughtful, smart and fun to be with. At 69, still energetic and healthy, I live on a mountain in rural Tennessee. Recently I bought my first bike (pink and white Schwinn) for the Rag Doll still in me.
