Synopsis

The main character is David, an impatient, young deer, who is eager to follow in his father's footsteps. We join David as he makes his way from Valley Ridge to Mountain Pass in search of greener grass and a reunion with his father. Along the way David encounters a small community of animals trapped in a dire situation. A devastating storm has forced them to live in deplorable conditions and, as the rainy season comes to an end, they find themselves with little more than a mud puddle for drinking water. Humbled by their needs David's eyes are opened as he begins to see what life is like Beyond Valley Ridge.

About the Author

Lydia Diaz is a 28 year old wife and mother of two living in Dallas, Texas. A graduate of the University of Central Florida she majored in Psychology and Criminal Profiling. Beyond Valley Ridge is her first book and looks to be just the beginning, with a sequel already in production.
