Francis Harvey is Associate Professor of Geography at the University of Minnesota. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on GIS, GIScience, information technology, and history of geography. His research ranges from algorithms for the merging of data based on proximity to studies of data sharing, collaboration, and the challenges of mapping. He is currently starting research on location privacy issues.
