Will Cook has been long regarded as one of the finest writers of the Western's Golden Age. These five short novels, among Cook's best, are all set in Hondo, Texas, and the surrounding ranching community, and take place over a period of twenty years. Many of the same characters appear throughout as they age, marry, have children and fight to survive in a wild and violent land. This thrilling saga reveals an entire frontier community's growth through moments filled with excitement, drama and highly memorable characters.
