About the Author

On January 24, 1983, Roberta Walker, was introduced to the world. She, along with seven brothers and sisters were born and raised in a small southern town of Eufaula, AL. Although Roberta has an educational background in radiologic sciences and adult education, deep down she knew that she had a more artistic personality. She began to host and plan events. Roberta was raised in a single parent home by her mother, Jacqueline Walker. Though living in public housing can create barriers for those wanting to pursue goals, this was not the case. The family lived in a five bedroom apartment where many playful thoughts were made. She and many of her siblings had dreams and creative minds that have become the inspiration of her innovative event planning ideas. She received a B.S. in Radiological Sciences and a M.Ed. in Adult Education. Roberta became a co-founder of C & R Promotions. The company's unorthodox method of event planning allows customers to choose whether to have a do-it-yourself style event or to have full catered accommodations. For the last five years, Roberta has assisted in numerous events ranging from carnivals to anniversary dinners; and the possibilities are endless. She has used her creative childhood crafts and ideas to transform children and adult parties into masterpieces. More recently, her daughter Yemaria has helped influence the lively hood of many events. With one of her passions being education, she can now educate others on how to celebrate cost effectively.
