About the Author

Randolph Randy Camp was born in rural Spotsylvania County, Virginia on March 12, 1961. Randy developed a love for storytelling and writing at a young age, and writing stories became a welcomed and much-needed escape from the periodic, harsh realities of his childhood. After graduating with Honors from Spotsylvania Sr. High School in 1979, Randy joined the US Air Force and traveled the globe. While stationed at Kadena Air Force Base on Okinawa Island, Japan, Randy attended the Overseas Division of University of Maryland University College. During his off-duty time, Randy continued his love of writing. Some of Randy's earlier literary creations, such as song lyrics, poems and numerous short stories written as a teenager or during his off-hours in the military, have developed over the years as full-length movie scripts and novel manuscripts, such as his prize-winning 'Wet Matches' and '...Then The Rain.' Randy is an award-winning author of the prestigious Writers Network 14th Annual Fiction Competition in Los Angeles. Randy has five daughters (Christina, Natasha, Melinda, Randie, Ranielle) and one son Joshua. Randy currently resides in Des Moines, Iowa.
