Synopsis
This early work by George W. M. Reynolds was originally published in 1848 and we are now republishing it as part of our Cryptofiction Classics series. 'Wagner the Wehr-Wolf' is a short story about a man who makes a deal to remain young but at the cost of becoming lycanthropic. British author and journalist George W. M. Reynolds (1814–79) was a highly regarded figure of the Victorian era. In addition to his popular books, he was a prominent political leader of the Chartist movement and a crusader for social and economic justice.
