About the Authors

Dr Lee Brosan was a consultant clinical psychologist in the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Foundation Trust, and Trust Lead for the development of psychological therapies. She was also clinical associate at the M.R.C. Cognition and Brain Science Unit in Cambridge and honorary lecturer at the University of East Anglia. She died in 2017.

Melanie Fennell is one of the pioneers of cognitive therapy in the UK. She developed and led Oxford University's Diploma in Cognitive Therapy and MSc in Advanced Cognitive Therapy, and co-developed and taught on the Masters Degree in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). As a research clinician in the Oxford University Department of Psychiatry, she contributed to the development and evaluation of effective psychological treatments for anxiety and depression, including both CBT and MBCT.

She teaches at the Oxford Mindfulness Centre. Dr Lee Brosan was a consultant psychologist with the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. Over her career, she was responsible for the development of psychological treatment services within the trust and taught many other people how best to understand and use CBT.
