Monday Morning Musings, Java for the Soul serves up a cup of inspiration and encourages the reader to look beyond the bump and grind of working from 8-5 and shift the focus of making a living to making a life. This collection of reflections shares with the reader the scriptural truths that are nestled in our day-to-day routines and points out the relevance of God's unchanging word in a fast paced and ever changing 21st century. Each morning begins with renewed mercies and an opportunity to discover those gifts that are woven into our routines while guiding the reader to look for the lesson. This side of heaven we need to understand that contentment is a peaceful place to be and the world that surrounds us is constant affirmation that there is a God and he cares about us. Each morning, arise, live abundantly, live well and live balanced.

Born in Texas, Cindy grew up in Bedford a small town in Indiana where she still resides with Archie, a canine rescue that begs the question who rescued whom? As well, she is living a childhood dream by being a proud, first time horse owner of Skip McGee. Both of these friends provide fodder for her stories and continually teach her that all of God's creatures are slates where lessons can be written. Cindy received a B.S. from Ball State University and holds a M.P.A. from Indiana University. She has worked at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana in various departments for over two decades and has taught courses in Career Development and Volunteer Management for I.U. as well as a Business Course for Ivy Tech, a Community College. Monday Morning Musings is her second offering. Her first publication, Cultivating the Soul was published in 2007. In addition, to her published works, Cindy has applied her love of writing by serving for nine years as the communications chair for the local humane society, creates an e-newsletter for a horse rescue and has written for several nonprofit boards where she was a member. Be it in the barn, the garden or during her daily commute there is always plenty of time and inspiration for her to muse about the world moving around her and see the evidence of a sovereign God at work. To invite Cindy to speak with your women's group or nonprofit organization, please contact her at MondayMorningMusings@yahoo.com For more Monday Morning Musings and to join the conversation, visit our blog at MonMorningMusings.wordpress.com
