About the Author

Like most people, Kathy Norris, learned to knit in the traditional style, using knitting needles. She discovered loom knitting at the craft supply store where she worked in Souther California. She says, "They handed me a knitting loom and told me to figure it out. So I taught myself how to use it." Kathy used her first loom knitting desings to teach others the fun new skill. In 2005, she began publishing her patterns. "I was attracted to loom knitting because, as a designer, you have to find a new way to work with the geometry of knitting. Once you have the loom knitting basics down, you can start experimenting to make the loom do what you want.
