From authors Bryan Kolb and Ian Whishaw, and new co-author G. Campbell Teskey, An Introduction to Brain and Behavior offers a unique inquiry-based introduction to behavioral neuroscience, with each chapter focusing on a central question (i.e., "How Does the Nervous System Function?"). It also incorporates a distinctive clinical perspective, with examples showing students what happens when common neuronal processes malfunction. Now this acclaimed book returns in a thoroughly up-to-date new edition.
An Introduction to Brain and Behavior can also be purchased with the breakthrough online resource, LaunchPad, which offers innovative media content, curated and organised for easy assignability. LaunchPad's intuitive interface presents quizzing, flashcards, animations and much more to make learning actively engaging.

"The writing is very clear and my students report enjoy reading the book."Benjamin Clark, University of New Mexico
"The writing style is clear, enjoyable and at a level of depth that is appropriate for a foundations-level course. The structured presentation of the topics―starting with the big question and then presenting a subset of smaller questions/discussions that help form the answer to the big question―is effective." - Kenneth Troy Harker, University of New Brunswick
"I loved how condensed the chapters were, and the coverage was great!"
Claire Scavuzzo, University of Alberta
"I believe that the distinguished co-authors and the book production team have again done a fine job of making the complexity of brain-behavior relationships widely accessible."
Ralph Lydic, University of Tennessee-Knoxville
"What I like best about this book is the level of writing and how it is a story that students can follow to learn about the brain and behavior."
Sarah Schock, University of Ottawa
