Born into the rural community of La Salle, Colorado, Dick enjoyed a Huckleberry Fin existence. Sports, close friends, the love of the outdoors, and plenty of time to explore gave him a wonderful foundation for his imagination. Dick prefers to think of his early years as that of a free range child. After four years in the Navy, he completed his BS degree and went to work in the business world. 35 year later, he concluded his successful career and gave himself over to writing. Now he and his wife Ronni and their two cats reside in Sun City, Arizona. Tennis, guitar, carving gourds, the Denver Broncos, and writing consume most of his time while trying to calm his still overly active imagination.A life long avid reader, Dick soon put pen to paper in fledgling attempts at prose. Dormant, occasionally revived to write a song or two, writing waited until events offered a more opportune time. That time is now. Enjoy!
