All of us, at least those of us residing in countries with a high level of economic development, or relatively high, have the feeling that there's an increasingly rise in obesity in our society. This is not a diet book, or a book with weigth loss treatments, even though, they will undoubtedly be mentioned. It is simply a brief tale of how mankind has become bigger, thicker, and more obese. Dr. F J Fojo was born in Havana, Cuba, and has been living in the United States for a long time. He is a doctor in medicine, a scientific promoter, and is passionate about the history of science and mankind. He habitually publishes opinion columns in several nationally circulated newspapers and magazines. He has also written and published several books.
