Why be colorblind when we can be colorFULL instead?
Imani and Kayla are the best of friends who are learning to celebrate their different skin colors. As they look around them at the amazing colors in nature, they can see that their skin is another example of God's creativity! This joyful story takes a new approach to discussing race: instead of being colorblind, we can choose to celebrate each color God gave us and be colorFULL instead.

Dorena and Chris have four children.
Cornelius Van Wright and Ying-Hwa Hu are a renowned husband and wife illustration team. They created Pencil Moon Studio to use the magic of pictures to bring stories to life for kids. They also work with the Fred Dolan Art Academy, which helps young Bronx artists with limited resources develop their portfolios and pursue college.
Summer had finally arrived! Imani was excited to blow bubbles and jump on the trampoline and climb trees. She and he little brother, Cristopher, were waiting for their friend Kayla to join in the fun. "Hi guys! Wanna see who can blow the biggest, most poppable bubble!" asked Kayla as she climbed over the fence.
"Wow, look at my bubble!" said Christopher. "It's full of swirly color!"
"I've got colors floating on mine too!" Kayla added.
"I never know bubbles could have so many colors!" said Imani.
"Well, you all area amazing bubble makers!" said Granny Mac, walking outside to join the kids.
"Looks!" said Christopher. "My bubble is ginormous and has fifty gazillion colors in it!"
"How about that!" said Granny Mac. "Aren't colors wonderful!"
"Mine has pink and purple &mdasn; my favorite!" said Kayla.
Kayla ran toward the garden. "And I see Red tomatoes and green beans!"
"Does gray count?" asked Christopher. "Because I see a crazy gray squirrel running up the tree!"
"Yep Gray is a color too. And I think it's a rather pretty one," said Granny Mac, patting her silver hair.
