PATRICK HENRY HUGHES was born with an extremely rare genetic disorder: arms that couldn't straighten, legs that would never be able to walk, and most devastating of all, blindness. He had been born with no eyes. His parents never gave up on their hopes for their son, determined that he grow up to be all that he could. Then one day, the extraordinary happened. At the age of just nine months, Patrick Henry began to play the piano. Soon, his exceptional musical talent emerged. In I Am Potential, twenty-year-old Patrick Henry and his father, Patrick John Hughes, share their incredible journey of defying disability against all odds and reveal the lessons in optimism learned along the way. Candidly written, I Am Potential is the story not only of Patrick Henry's remarkable life, but also of the bond between father and son-demonstrating how, with faith, perseverance, and unconditional love, almost anything is possible to achieve.
