About the Author

Gene Bierbaum received his PhD from the University of Missouri in 1965 and served as professor of communication studies at the State University of New York for twenty-five years. He was awarded the title of professor emeritus in 1992. He and his wife, Agnes, have traveled extensively, residing in seven states before settling in Florida. They visit each of their five children, fourteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren annually and have established family reunions that bring them all together.
