As a first-time, the princess of multi-cultural romance, self-published author Donna Michele Ramos' first book "HIGH RISE", a contemporary, multi-cultural romance novel, debuted on Essence Magazine and BlackbookPlus.com's Best Seller Lists for paperback fiction. Her second novel also quickly embraced by readers, "BORROWED TIME", (likened by some of her readers to ROOTS for this generation) a painstakingly researched Civil War historical romance, reveals a pivotal historical figure, long overlooked. The much requested, red hot "SCANDALOUS", the sequel to "HIGH RISE", was released August 2010. A prolific author, Ms. Ramos writes several multi-cultural novels simultaneously. Her journalism career as a Sr. Reporter for The Hub magazine yielded interviews with Maxwell, Venus and Serena Williams and HRH Sarah Ferguson Duchess of York, to name a few. She attended Fordham University in NYC but acquired her BS in Government from Sacramento State University May of 2000, better late than never. This former 20-year civil service employee, has a series of children's books waiting in the wings. Her first book, HAVE YOU EVER TRIED? was almost published until publishers found out its author was only 9 years old. Her first published children's book, DEAR DIARY...NOT QUITE, is slated for release late Winter 2010. This mother of two and grandmother of 5, including a set of twin girls, travels for fun as well as book signings and spends as much time with family and friends as possible. She also does keynote speaking engagements and beginning writer workshops for kids and adults. Kids are her heart, which led her to become a mentor at one of her neighborhood elementary schools. She encourages everyone to try mentoring, just once. You do not have to spend a lot of time and schools are happy if you can mentor only one hour a week. The kids benefit but you may be surprised to find you may get even more out of it than they do. Ms. Ramos speaks at schools and encourages appearance requests from schools. To quote her, "You never know if you might be the one to spark a specific interest in a child..." www.facebook.com/donnamramosfanpage Contact her, check on upcoming releases and appearances, contests and giveaways and provide feedback, she loves that!
