About the Author

Karen A. Kaufmann is a professor of dance and the head of the dance programme and the University of Montana. A veteran of more than 35 years in dance education, she has published journal articles and texts for classroom teachers, spearheaded a model programme that laid the groundwork for this book and prepared dance, classroom and student teachers to use dance and creative movement in their classrooms. Jordan Dehline has been performing, choreographing and teaching for 7 years. She currently teaches modern and ballet at Ballet Arts Academy in Missoula County Public Schools as part of the Montana Model Dance Education Programme.
