About the Author

Rev. Dr. Leslie T. Seaton lives in Port St. Lucie, Florida with his wife Harveybelle, a teacher and author. They have three children, Wayne, Alison, and Douglas. As a teacher/professor, he taught at the three levels of education, the last being at the Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York. Subjects taught were history and social studies, religion and philosophy, and education. Dr. Seaton studied at Calabar Theological Seminary, Phillips University, University of the West Indies, Teachers' College, Columbia University, Union Theological Seminary, and Jewish Theological Seminary (a special program in conjunction with Teachers' College, Columbia University). As a minister, I pastored churches in Jamaica and the United States. He is a minister of the Reformed Church in America and served as chaplain to Jamaica College and Mico Teachers' College, where he taught. He also wrote courses on ethics for the Jamaica Teachers' Association and taught the extramural students. He is the author of three books: Worship for Schools and Colleges; Lord, Teach Us to Pray (a guide to Christian growth); and A Tree Planted by Streams of Water.
