Synopsis

With each new day, we engage in rituals that we've developed through instinct and years of routine. Because we have repeated the patterns so many times, we can succumb to a dulled awareness of our surroundings. It is easy to become unaware that these daily patterns and routines are repeated on every scale in nature and in the lives of all creatures. All around us there is drama that is constantly unfolding, unseen; paralleling our own rituals, struggles and triumphs. Every organism plays a role and adds a unique contribution. There is a certain uniformity in nature's complexity and our existence is truly a series of interconnected events. The closer we look, the more nature's intricate patterns reveal themselves. When we stop to look close and listen, we begin to see a world within a world coexisting all around us. Life, death, the creation of offspring, wars and brave explorations are happening millions of times each day. Through all this, water is the common factor in all life on Earth. Plants, animals and humans are all equally dependent on this precious elixir of life. Each drop is its own world within a world with entire ecosystems existing on an infinitesimal scale... revealing ever more intricate patterns. Join us for an exploration of our daily world... a part of our world which is overlooked, stepped on, seemingly invisible to us... MicroWorlds.
