About the Author

The author is a retired Local Government Officer who helped architects, both Local Authority and Private, over many years. He now lives near Truro in Cornwall with his wife Gillian. He got the idea for the book from a very young Quantity Surveyor who received a sudden substantial inheritance. After treating the whole of the Architect's Department to a drink, he immediately retired into obscurity. Lucky him! What if he had inherited really big bucks - the sort that makes news headlines? If he valued his privacy, how could he escape celebrity status and the media circus?
