There is no official user guide to the IBM Tivoli Dynamic Workload Console. This book is an attempt to fill that gap. Its purpose is to provide an introduction to TDWC for users of the traditional ISPF text panel interface to IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler for z/OS (TWSz). The Tivoli Dynamic Workload Console can be used to manage both TWSz and TWS Distributed systems but this book looks only at the TWSz part of the interface and assumes the reader is familiar with TWSz. Screen images taken while working with TDWC demonstrate how to use TDWC to • enter and update information in the TWSz databases • schedule work • monitor and manage work in the Current Plan • add ad-hoc jobs • create, save and use searches • set refresh rates • create, save and run reports Author Peter F May has been working with TWSz since 1989. Before taking early retirement from IBM he was responsible for writing and teaching IBM Tivoli’s’s world-wide TWSz curriculum and he is currently an Tivoli Certified Instructor.
