Synopsis
It is 1861, and the War Between the States has broken out. Clee Fahr has just arrived by stage in Denver City, Colorado. Eames Jeffords, an old enemy of Clee?s, is buying arms for the confederate cause. Sam Massey, a mine owner from the Vasquez mining district, is raising a company of volunteers to join the Union forces. Clee rode in on the stage with Sam's sister, and the two formed a mutual attraction. News of the deaths of her younger brothers in the war has served only to fire Sam's zeal. The Vasquez mines are easily producing enough gold to finance General Sibley's advance from New Mexico into Colorado. But Sybil McAllister, an old flame of Clee?s, is dating the owner of the stage-line used to transport the gold. And Clee is certain she's conspiring with Jeffords to get this information to the Rebel forces...
