This Activity Book complements the tasks in Façon de Parler 1, the best-selling French course for adult beginners. Each unit closely mirrors that of the coursebook with exercises following each section chronologically, so that students who have only worked through part of a unit can concentrate on consolidating their knowledge of a particular item.

A variety of exercises, including puzzles and quizzes as well as more conventional activities, has been specially devised to practise the material in the coursebook, both in class and for homework purposes. Earlier tasks are more gently paced while later exercises are more challenging and will be suitable for extended practice or to stretch fast learners. About the Author

Angela Aries has many years' teaching experience in French and EFL at Colleges of Further Education and Adult Education Institutes, in London and Essex. She has been an examiner for both written and oral French.

Dominique Debney is a former lecturer at Seevic, Essex FE College. She has taught evening classes preparing for the Intermediate Diploma of the Institute of Linguists. She also has many years' experience teaching at secondary level and as an examiner for French GCSE (writing) and A level (oral).
