Kevin Sorrels recognized the value of his father's selections and urged that it be preserved in an album for the use and pleasure of others. Working with his father in listening to his presentations and reviewing the work Kevin was instrumental in getting the manuscript into a publishable form. Kevin realized that at eighty one years old his father was no longer able to continue with a speaking schedule. Publishing a book seemed the perfect way for Mit to utilize his talents and abilities in enjoying laughter and wisdom with others. Mit Sorrels is a retired dentist and a Professor Emeritus at an esteemed university. His humorous nature and love of philosophical wit lead him to speaking engagements. as many as seventy five in one year. Mit is recognized as an accomplished humorist and has enjoyed fifty years of popularity as a Master of Ceremonies, roaster and lecturer. His speaking presentations also included professional groups on serious subjects nevertheless he always interjected humor, philosophy and wit to get his point across and make it enjoyable to the audience. Mit maintained that laughter is healing. Mit also volunteered his services to many groups: elderly, church, fraternal etc. His exchange was how people responded to him. He loved their enjoyment and gratitude. When people heard Mit was speaking.he was the draw! His gift allowed him to meet many people and make countless friends.
