About the Author

I was born in Kingsville, in January 27, 1932, a small town, in South Texas, where the Bhramas and Long Horns roamed. I grew up in Kingsville, did my schooling in Stephen F. Austin (elementary) Memorial Jr. High and Henrieta M. Kings High School... I served two and a half years in the U.S. Air Force, and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant (E/4). My wife Violas Solis and I were married in December 25, 1952 while still he was in the air force. We have two daughters, Linda Ann Bryan, husband, Thomas and Rose Marie Grove, husband, Rick and one son David Ray, wife, Gail. There were eight of us in the Flores family and plenty to write about and I am also into Genealogy, thus, the urge to purge into my writing passion. This venture started some ten years ago and have found that the research involved is astronomical. My father was not a historian, but opened some family historic avenues and spunned some informational folklore. I love all my family because they believe like I do, the memories and the values. Now that I am older, my wife and I cherish the memories that they brought us and have the time to enjoy our children and grandchildren. Pedro Flores
