When students see themselves as potential leaders they rethink the concept of involvement in their community. Graham Tyrer is headteacher of the highly successful and oversubscribed Chenderit School in Northamptonshire, UK. His experience is in school improvement and national INSET. As headteacher and deputy headteacher, he successfully helped lead two schools in challenging circumstances out of Special Measures and out of Notice to Improve. Graham delivers training in Learning to Lead and Literacy Across the Curriculum for the National College for School Leadership, the National Breakthrough Trust, and the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust. The Learning to Lead Programme has been adopted by many schools across the country as a result of this training.
