About the Author

Susan Ward, LPC, MA, MS, NCC, from Asheville, North Carolina, is a therapist working with adoptive families whose children struggle with trauma and attachment issues. She's been a foster parent, therapeutic tutor, and an adoptive parent. She has worked with children from across the country who were diagnosed with developmental trauma disorder, PTSD, and reactive attachment disorder (RAD). Many of these children had other diagnoses including autism, bipolar, anxiety, learning disabilities, and more.
