About the Author

Sheila Burke was born in 1937. She came of age during the 50s and 60s, a time of conflict and change that greatly influenced her writing. She is the mother of two grown sons. She lives with her husband, Richard Kessler, M.D., a retired surgeon and divides her time between Manhattan, NY, Pennsylvania and Maui, HI.
