About the Author

Dr. George Ojie-Ahamiojie is a professor at Orlando Culinary Academy, in Orlando Florida, where he teaches several hospitality management courses. He also teaches as an adjunct instructor at the University of Phoenix, and online at several universities across the country. His work experience has taken him through Hyatt Hotels, Marriott Hotels, and Walt Disney World resorts. Dr. Ojie-Ahamiojie earned his doctorate and specialization degrees in Higher Education and Leadership from Argosy University/Sarasota, Sarasota, Florida; master degree in organizational management, and human resources management certification from University of Phoenix; and bachelor degree, and minor in psychology from University of Houston, Houston, Texas. He is a Certified Hospitality Educator. Dr. Ojie-Ahamiojie is passionate about diversity and inclusive communication. He believes in employee motivation, helping them set attainable goals, training and developing, coaching and mentoring as one method of building employees' mastery. Dr. Ojie-Ahamiojie is the author of "Essential Leadership Skills for Hospitality Supervisors: An Experiential Approach" and "Managing my Manager and Taking His Job." Part of his leadership philosophy is breaking all the rules; after all that is how he knows the limit of his powers.
