Sharon Rentta's illustrations suit the tone perfectly. All of the characters are highly appealing. It's great fun to see all the action on every page, and there are plenty of amusing asides hidden throughout. It's one of those wonderful picture books that can take much longer to read, as you expand on what's going on throughout the book. --The Bookbag
