About the Author

James T. Durkin works full-time as a Civil Investigator. He is an adjunct and part-time instructor of American Politics classes employed at the College of DuPage and Moraine Valley Community College, both located in the suburbs of Chicago. Using a lively discussion format he firmly believes "there can't be fire in the pews if there's ice at the pulpit." He received his Associate of Arts Degree from Prairie State College in Chicago Heights, Illinois. He earned his Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Political Science from Illinois State University in Normal., Illinois. Jim is the author of two fictional novels. His first book, In My Dreams, is a novel about a young man from the suburbs of Chicago who gets elected President of the U.S. Many readers have described the book as educational, inspirational, and motivational. His second novel, The Call of Angels, continues the story about his main character's single term in office and a second presidential campaign. The eldest of five children, Jim resides with his wife and son in Woodridge, Illinois. His hobbies include a variety of charitable activities, such as public speaking and volunteering to raise public awareness for Deep Venous Thrombosis (DVT).
