About the Author

Born in 1992 in Singapore, R.R.Pravin was educated in St. Andrew's Junior School, the school which provided him with the concrete and flawless foundation in the English Language. In 2004, he obtained a Credit in the International New South Wales Competition for English Language. After scoring an A* in the English Language for the Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE) in 2004, he continued his education in Anglo-Chinese School (Independent). His English Language teacher, Mdm. Marjorie Tan unearthed this unique diamond from the pool of talents and polished it until it sparkled. He won the Best Portfolio Award: Distinction for English Language & Literature in 2005 & 2006 consecutively. He was also awarded the Top Student in Level for both English Language & Literature in 2005. Noticing his flair in writing, his teacher encouraged him to write more portfolios and to date, he has released five portfolios. In 2007, his works (both prose & poetry) were published in the Annual CRESCO publication (a compilation of the best literary works) and in the Annual School Magazine for the premier time. Furthermore, he obtained a Credit Award in the Annual New South Wales English Competition in 2006. He obtained a Distinction Award in the Annual New South Wales Writing Competition in 2007. In 2008, his works were again selected to be published in the annual CRESCO magazine in his schoool. In 2007, at 15 years of age, he completed his first novel, African Girl which was published in 2008.
