About the Author

Richard Kahn is a second generation Florida Native and an avid waterman who enjoys communing with Mother Ocean through free diving, surfing, and environmentalism. Former chairman for the Palm Beach County Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, Richard is still active in various campaigns for clean water, beach access, wetlands and endangered species protection. Graduating Florida Atlantic University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Richard was a writer for the Palm Beach Post and editor of Weekday, and is currently publisher of the Yachting and Sportfishing Guide and the Golfer's Directory. Many years of study in the ancient Chinese art of Tai Chi Quan, along with first hand experience of Native American mysticism has led Richard to the sharing of his vision. Richard currently enjoys life in the Palm Beaches with his wife Shelly, their daughter Kathryne and their dog Finnigan
