About the Author

Ed Flick is a retired State Parole Officer from PA where he served for over 30 years. In 1979 he received the Parole Agent of the year award. Ed served 4 years in the USMC and is a Vietnam veteran. He also served 5 years in the Army National Guard and 14 years in the Navy Reserves. In 1990 he was activated for the first Gulf War and served on a Navy war ship. Ed holds a B.S. degree in Law Enforcement and a Masters Degree in Special Education. He also attained a level of brown belt in the Kyokushin karate system. While employed as a State Parole Officer, Ed was a DUI Highway Safety Instructor for the PA Highway Safety Program, a Navy classroom instructor, and a CPR instructor. Ed has coached little league baseball, youth football, and girls softball, he also served as a volunteer fireman for Marion Twp. Currently, he is a substitute teacher for the Moniteau School District.
