My Daddy used to tell me the "Bleep Blop Bloop" story every night at bedtime when he would come to visit me as a baby and small child. When I was 8 years old, I got to spend the whole summer with my Daddy and his new wife, and that's when I illustrated the story with these original characters and drawings. I am very happy to have created this book together with my father, and we are both really grateful to everyone who purchases a copy of the book because we are using any money we make from it to help pay for my college education when I get older.

The story of Bleep Blop Bloop started out as a tired father's attempt to satisfy his little girl's plea for "One more story, Daddy." 7 years later that same little girl went on to draw the illustrations to her father's made-up tale of funny-sounding nonsense words. The result is this charming and unique picture book collaboration, which any baby, child, or adult will enjoy. With bright, engaging colors and likeable characters created by an 8 year-old child, the story of Bleep Blop Bloop is sure to be one of your child's favorite books, and is destined to be a classic along the lines of Goodnight Moon, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Miss Spider's Tea Party, and The Runaway Bunny.

Bleep Blop Bloop was a "story" I made up for my daughter as a my desperate attempt to satisfy her need for "One more story, Daddy!" At the end of a long day, after reading all her favorite books to her, I could hardly think, let alone remember a story, so I just made some sounds and strung them together into a "story" -- and that did the trick. The next night when she wanted one last story, I told her the same one -- Bleep Blop Bloop -- Bleep Bleep -- Blop Blop -- Bloop -- Bleep Bleep Bleep -- Blop Blop Blop -- Bloop Bloop Bloop.
She liked it, and since that day, the Bleep Blop Bloop story became a regular staple of our bedtime routine together.
When Minnie was 8 years old, she came to spend the whole summer with me, and I asked her to draw the illustrations for the story. I told her to pick a color and create a character for Bleep, another for Blop, and a third for Bloop. The rest of it was completely up to her.
We really love the book, the characters, and the bright colors, and we have included some pictures of us both as babies, as well as blank pages opposite each of Minnie's illustrations so that you and your child can personalize your copy of the book with your own interpretations of the characters. Just grab some crayons and have fun. The result will surely be an artistic collaboration you will cherish for years.
