About the Author

Jessie Vanderpool grew up in a small rural town in Oklahoma. By age ten, she had read all the books in the school library.She studied Professional Writing at The University of Oklahoma and has published short and book-length stories, a novella and a young adult novel, "Searching For Home."She has taught graduate and child psychology classes from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. She has also taught professional writing classes, "The Psychology of Writing," at the Northwest Technology Center.Jessie has written contemporary and historical novels. She has also written a young reader, "Jenary Stakes A Claim," as well as picture books, including, "Christmas Dreams Come True."With degrees in psychology and a masters from The University of Oklahoma, Jessie Vanderpool is a practicing family psychotherapist.
