About the Author

Dr. John A. Curry is Chancellor of Northeastern University. A 1956 graduate of that university, he later earned his doctorate from Boston University and received their Distinguished Alumni Award. From 1989-1996 he served as President of Northeastern University where he charted a new direction helping to transform the institution from a large, urban university toward a more selective ?smaller but better? university. Dr. Curry has written four novels ? Loyalty, Two and Out, The Irish Corsicans, and Bless Me Father ? as well as three collections of short stories ? Some Shorts in the Dark, More Shorts in the Dark, and Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue ? all available through Author House, 1663 Liberty Drive, Bloomington, Indiana 47403. A Lapse of Memory is his first novella.
