Synopsis

Weary from the high-pass ambush by Vanhagen's outlaws, and bone-cold, Tom Lowden struggled through the mounting snow and biting winds to warn the Clark Fork ranchers below of the treachery from an unsuspected source. Vanhagen was rustling their cattle with this man's help. The fate of the RB and the other ranches was dependent on Tom's getting through in time. Thoughts of Priscilla, the neighbor's beautiful daughter, helped spur him on.
