Socks is an independent person who avoided getting involved with others. However, several people in the small community where he went to work eventually taught him to appreciate the companionship and support of others. About the Author
Being 79 years old, he has lived during the times that he writes about. He has been married 58 years and has a daughter and a son. He spent his life in the use, care and repair of things mechanical, electrical and electronic. During two years in the U.S. Army he worked on guided missile guidance systems. Since retiring he has taken up woodworking as a hobby and builds some unique keepsake boxes. After writing a family history he was told that he should pursue writing and decided to try a novel. This is his first effort.
