About the Author

Rama Chellappa, PhD (POTOMAC, MD), is a leading researcher and inventor in the fields of computer vision, artificial intelligence and machine learning. A Bloomberg Distinguished Professor in electrical, computer, and biomedical engineering, he is also the chief scientist at the Johns Hopkins Institute for Assured Autonomy and a member of Johns Hopkins' Mathematical Institute for Data Science, the Center for Imaging Science, the Center for Language and Signal Processing, and the Malone Center for Engineering in Healthcare.
